each school has to offer. Snow date is the first Saturday in February.
-
Showcase of Schools: open houses at ALL schools during the month of February:
at least one daytime tour and one evening tour at each school.
- Kindergarten Welcome: evening presentation describing DPS kindergarten, school choice,
readiness, and more. Sessions scheduled starting in November.
Charter Schools

List of Durham charter schools: Durham has several of these independent, state-funded
public schools, all with unique approaches to education — like private schools, but with
no tuition. They're NOT a part of Durham Public Schools.
