Parents' Morning Out (PMO) programs give busy moms a few hours to themselves, while their toddlers enjoy supervised play and get some social experience.
Frequently offered by churches, these programs meet once or twice a week. They're an affordable alternative to babysitting, especially on weekday mornings when teenagers are scarce. PMO programs have dwindled as preschool opportunities for Twos have increased, but they're still in demand.
The DMC maintains a list of Parents' Morning Out programs in Durham county. It's available to DMC members only!
How To Get the List
If you're not yet a member, join DMC and include a note requesting a Parents' Morning Out list. If you are already a DMC member, contact our PMO Coordinator (above) and she'll get it in the mail to you.
